Tila Tequila is a Vietnamese American model, reality show star and singer/songwriter.

Tila Tequila was born in Singapore on October 24th 1981. Tila Tequila's birth name is Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen, though she went by the name Tila Nguyen when she was growing up. Tila Tequila's family moved to Singapore after the Vietnam war.

When Tila Tequila was one she and her family moved to Houston Texas, where they lived for a while until Tila Tequila and her family moved to a Buddhist Temple.

Tila Tequila says that she is a geeky nerd in a woman's body, but growing up Tila Tequila's live hardly seemed that of a nerd. In high school Tila Tequila joined a Cholo Gang. around 16 or 17 got out of the gang, but had to move to New York to distance herself from her past.

Tila Tequila got her break in 2002, when she was discovered by a talent scout that worked for the famous nudie mag Playboy in a mall. Tila Tequila did a number of photoshots for Playboy, first for their website (Tila Tequila was Playboy's first Asian Cyber girl of the month) and then for their magazine.

the next year Tila Tequila was on the reality tv show Surviving Nugent, that year Tila Tequila was also one of the host for Fuse TV's stripping dance show Pants off Dance off

in 03 Tila Tequila also started to use social networking sites. Tila Tequila started out on Friendster, where Tila Tequila had so many friends (over 40,000 at the time) that she got the attention of an upstart called myspace, who's owner invited her to join their social networking site. Tila Tequila not only joined but she told her followers on freindster to join with her and many of them did (yes Tila Tequila helped make myspace the popular juggernaut that is.) Currently Tila Tequila has well over 3 million friends on myspace.

Tila Tequila runs a number of websites. The first of which is www.tilashotspot.com, which started out as an adult site in 2001 but has been revamped to be all ages.
Tila Tequila has her own clothing line which is sold at Tilafashion.com and Tila Tequila also has a site filled with social media content called Tila Zone.

around the age of 20 Tila Tequila decided to use her modeling and internet celebrity to move onto the music industry. Tila Tequila was a founder of the band Beyond Betty Jean, where Tila Tequila was the lead singer and songwriter for the band. But the group didn't go that far beyond Betty jean because they soon broke up. after Beyond Betty Jean Tila Tequila became the singer for the group Jealousy.

in 2006 Tila Tequila singed onto Will.I.Am's music label, though Tila Tequila says decided to reject going through a major label (Will.I.Am music group is a label under A & M records) and released her first single, I Love U, independently on her myspace page the following year. Tila Tequila's album SEX was released in 2007 by The Saturday Team (an indy label)

Tila Tequila's record label then sued her for releasing her album by herself.

in 2007 Tila Tequila became the star of her own reality show A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila where 16 straight guys and 16 lesbians competed to be Tila Tequila's love.

Tila Tequila starred on that show for 2 seasons and while have another reality show that fallows her day to day life.

2007 Tila also started acting when she had a small role as a hooters girl in the film I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry

in 2008 Tilia Tequila wrote the self help book Hooking Up With Tila Tequila: A Guide to Love, Fame, Happiness, Success, and Being the Life of the Party,
