Homotography’s Favorite 2010 Albums

Music is an integral part of this blog, so I am sharing with you my favorite albums of the past year. You might notice that a couple of the titles were released in late 2009, but I’ve included them because 2010 was their real exposure year. I’ve chosen a few music videos from each album, so you can get a taste of the sound if you’re not familiar with it.

Hurts So Good

The song Wonderful Life by new British band Hurts (Theo Hutchcraft – vocals, Adam Anderson – electronics, guitar) is one of the most played songs on my iPod for the past few months. However, it was only two days ago that I discovered its captivating viral video clip, which was shot in sepia with a budget of £20 only. The combination of their brilliant sound and arresting visuals makes me anticipate their self-titled debut album, set for an August 2010 release.

To make things even more appealing, Hurts collaborated with none other than Hedi Slimane on their imagery. Can’t you just envision all the fashion features for this band? Man About Town, Vogue Hommes, AnOther Man, VMAN, etc… The perfect blend of music and fashion with real talent to back it up.

I am hooked on the sound of Hurts and I think many people will. So here I present you with a collection of their clips, performances and interviews, showing their endearing eccentric vibe.
