British actor Aaron Johnson stars in the music video for ÜBerlin, the first single from the new R.E.M. album, Collapse into Now. The video is directed by Sam Taylor-Wood, Aaron's fiancée.

Contact High by Architecture In Helsinki
Australian band Architecture In Helsinki unveiled the music video for their new single 'Contact High', directed by Krozm. The song is taken from the upcoming album Moment Bends, out in Australia and Europe in April and in North America on May 3.

Spanish Teenager by Casey Spooner & Jake Shears
Fischerspooner singer Casey Spooner makes his solo debut with the single Spanish Teenager, featuring additional vocals by Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters. Giving us a taste of the album Adult Contemporary, the song's brilliantly homoerotic video is directed by Luke Gilford.

You might notice that a couple of the titles were released in late 2009, but I’ve included them because 2010 was their real exposure year. I’ve chosen a few music videos from each album, so you can get a taste of the sound if you’re not familiar with it.

Music Spotlight | Delphic
In addition to having a very solid debut with their album Acolyte, British band Delphic complement their sound with engaging and unique music videos. The Manchester boys are a definite musical highlight and personal favorite of 2010. Check out their videos after the jump.
Music Spotlight | The Special Affections of Diamond Rings
We shine our music spotlight on Diamond Rings (real name John O’Regan). The 25 year-old emerging Canadian talent recently released his debut album 'Special Affections', combining electro-pop goodness with emotive smart lyrics (which is rather refreshing in this time of silly and meaningless songwriting). I’ve been listening to the album for a few weeks and I highly recommend it. Watch a couple of Diamond Rings music videos and listen to the whole album after the jump.

The Heartbreaks by Hedi Slimane
Hedi Slimane introduces us to emerging British band The Heartbreaks, whom he photographed in London this past September. Does the Manchester act sound as good as they look? Check out their music videos 'I Didn't Think It Would Hurt To Think Of You' (directed by Ivan Ogilvie) and 'Liar, My Dear' (directed by Joe Cross) after the jump and judge for yourself.

Say hello to Arthur, Cyril, Oleg, and Stas aka Kazaky. The Ukranian act released the music video for their song In The Middle, directed by Yevgeniy Timokhin. They put the Frankie Morello SS11 bones pants to some very good use.
Love Part II by Bright Light Bright Light
After falling in love with his work in this editorial, we follow Alun Davies’ art direction in the new music video for ‘Love Part II,’ the debut single from Bright Light Bright Light. Comprised of Wales singer & songwriter Rod Thomas, Bright Light Bright Light is signed to new label Popjustice HiFi/Virgin, where the single (produced by Andy Chatterley) will be released as a Download/Deluxe CD on September 13.

Skream | Listenin' To The Records On My Wall
Known to my ears as the guy behind the amazing In For The Kill by La Roux remix [listen on YouTube], Skream (real name, Ollie Jones) is releasing a new album, Outside the Box. Directed by David Wilson, the music video for the single Listenin' To The Records On My Wall is a captivating visual feast that draws inspiration from the biblical story of creation of Adam (played by Benedict Smith) & Eve (Harriet Shillito). The video is directed by Isaiah Seret and stars Devendra Banhart, Joel Virgel, Hecuba (Isabelle Albuquerque & Jon Beasley), Jolieba Jackson and Lady Tigra.
